Brain overload

i have so much going through my head, its not funny. trying to find ways to cut the budget, trying to find ways to bring in more money. Talk about a brain overload.

Well i spent half of last night working out how to make cloth sanitary pads, etc. i thought this my be better for me and allow me to save some more money. so after i got thinking about that, i decided to try and think of other ways to reduce my monthly food budget. at the moment it stands at $590 for the month. i want to drop it too $400 or lower. Even just dropping it to the $400 that will save me an extra $2280 for the year.

so some other things i have thought about are changing back to powered milk, making my own bread (when the free stuff runs out) making my own cleaning products. i also want to try some vegetarian meals that my kids will actually eat.

oh i also picked up a book from the op shop today for $1, its all about home remedies. Its pretty good its got everything in it, from making you own hairspray and make up to, animal treatments, ailments, repellents, etc. I'm going to go right through this book and work out what i can use for the No spend challenge.

HHHMMM what else can i think of cutting down on to reduce the budget??? will have to think about that one.

well cutting things out is one way to deal with things, but adding to the budget is another. If i can find a way of adding an extra $200 a week, that will make a huge boost to my end of year savings. and because i can only spend a certain amount of hours away from the home (i have kids with disabilites) i have to find away to make maximum money for the least amount of time. or find away to work from home.

some of the ideas i have is to try to do 1 nursing shift a week (night shift), which i work for an agency, so shifts are realiable. i could do cleaning. and thats it, im stummped. lol. any other ideas?
